I began the series of Provence 2026 studies during an artist residency in the South of France, testing colour and light in a smaller form. They became a space to observe the landscape more closely. Each holds an early instinct or fragment that later shaped a larger work.

Provence II, 2026 became the starting point for Chérie.

Raya Mansoor is an Economics graduate and self-taught artist from the Maldives, represented by Oevaali Art Gallery. Her work blends abstract, expressionist, and contemporary styles, creating a distinct visual language.
